MIDAS Foundation was conceived in Universidad Anáhuac de México classrooms, during the Sustainable Projects Course of the Master in Social Responsibility. Various projects and field visits were done.
While visiting the Calapa Community, Municipality of Chignahuapan, in the Sierra Norte in Puebla, a diagnosis was made to identify their most compelling needs. Solutions and alternatives were designed accordingly, based on the economic, social and environmental sustainability principles. We named this project “MIDAS” Intervention Model for Assistance and Social Development.
We have created a collaborative model in which beneficiaries, the Foundation, sponsors, and local authorities work together to "Touch lives, transform the future". We have touched the States of Puebla, Baja California, Morelos, Mexico and Veracruz. We are aiming to reach other locations.
This idea together with our passion and our more than 25 years of experience working with Nonprofit organizations lead to the creation of “Fundación MIDAS A.C.”
It was thus, as this idea was added to our aspiration so that with the experience of more than 25 years of work in the Third Sector it would be specified in the Constitution of the MIDAS A.C. Foundation.
Thanks to a multidisciplinary group, with incredible capacities, we work on making history. One built on determination, capacity and willpower.
Being an organization with a broad experience, allow us to serve the communities and to provide the effective and efficient responses that they need.
We have all the records, authorizations and conditions needed to give certainty on our process so that we can continue working in benefit of society.
